Your sewing projects: Get inspired with our Creative room II
Here we are again with our creative corner to show you the sewing projects that you have been making over the past few months.
We can tell that you are all full on with your summer sewing. Don’t you think it’s a time of year when you really feel like getting creative?
There’s more free time to enjoy what you like doing best and as a result we’ve found a lot of very original garments and accessories. Like a bag with yarn applied in the form of a painting, or lampshades lined with our canvas fabrics.
We’re also going to show you a variety of summer clothing made from our jersey and poplin fabrics.
You can see our Creative Room I here.
So here is our selection!
Sewing projects for kids
Mariona (@marionacb) really surprised us with this boy’s t. shirt that combines our suricatta jersey with the sleeves in black, so cute!
Mini Bebitos sews clothing, accessories and children’s decorations with incredible taste. You can see proof of this in these beautiful garments: romper and bandanas that put an instant smile on your face as soon as you see them.
Judging by the number of projects we’ve found made in this material, the most popular summer fabric is the Striped Sea Crabs jersey. Here are a few examples for you to take a look at:
Accessories sewing proyects
At La Tana Dello Spillo they have already sewn and showcased our very original and useful Dog basket and bone pattern.
Mireia at Ilove kutchi (@mrsmontauk) has also sewn this same pattern using our Toucan Canvas fabric including step by step instructions showing how to make it.
@lanificio55 has sewn the Square Bag and toiletry bag using the Printed canvas Geo Flúor
and other bags like this one combining a golden faux leather with the Canvas Gold Geometric Fabric.
We love the photo, it makes us feel like going for a stroll just to show it off, don’t you think?
The Toucan print is incredibly versatile. Look how Luce Laine Tricot – La Cour de Luce has used pieces of yarn like paint to fill in the spaces. This fascinated us.
These are just a few bags and backpacks that we found whilst checking out social media and had to share with you no matter what.
Women’s sewing projects
Marian García @nairamkittty customised our back button fastening top pattern with the vintage girls on bicycle fabric by adding a Peter Pan collar in sweatshirt fabric. There’s a step by step tutorial showing how to make it for any blouse or adult/kids dress on her Blog. We loved it! It’s a fantastic summer garment and it’s also suitable for beginners.
The dresses that have been made at Luce Laine Tricot – La Cour de Luce using our poplin fabrics are so beautiful and perfect for the summer heat.
Marion at @atelierzabe has sewn this fantastic blouse full of details using our vintage swim poplin.
The cuff with box pleats and the shoulder piping detail add that touch of originality that is typical of handmade clothing.
And as it’s always difficult to just choose one, here are a few different women’s projects which we’re sure you’re going to love:
The guys are also wearing handmade as you can see here with this really cool t. shirt sewn by @mrsmontauk using our Rock Guitar melange jersey
The jersey and jersey melange fabrics (the ones with the grey marl base) are the ones that have been used most for comfortable garments due to their elasticity and softness.
We hope that you have liked and inspired, now you only have to start creating!
