How to sew a Halloween basket

Today, she will teach you how to make a Halloween basket through simple step-by-step instructions.

Materials you need

Step-by-step instructions for sewing a Halloween basket

1. Prepare the materials

  • Cut 6 canvas pieces6 poplin pieces and 6 interfacing pieces.
  • Cut 1 piece of canvas measuring 30 x 10 cm for the handle.

2. Sew the handle

  • Fold the handle lengthways, iron the edges inward and sew along both sides to fasten it.

3. Sew the body of the basket

  • Place the fabrics with right sides facing each other and sew the sides and the bottom. Repeat with the lining, leaving an opening.

4. Assemble the bottom and attach the lining

  • Align the bottom pieces with the body and sew them. Next, attach the lining to the outside pieces, with right sides facing each other.

5. Turn right side out and finish

  • Turn the basket right side out through the lining opening, close the opening and press. Sew a straight stitch around the top edge for the finishing touches.
