There’s always a reason to celebrate knitting, and our In the Mood Blanket is perfect for representing your different emotions using different color Katia yarns. Make these pretty flower granny squares and share them with the world! 

Follow the flower granny square charts and video tutorials to create your own In the Mood Blanket. Pick your own colors to represent your mood, or your decor. 

Finished Size: approx. 135cm x 160cm, including border

Each flower square measures 16cm x 16cm, after blocking..

Sample consists of 80 flower granny squares, arranged in 8 rows of 10 granny squares.

4 Flower Granny Squares

To make your own In The Mood Blanket, we suggest 4 granny square designs with a flower at the center. In the Northern Hemisphere, spring has sprung, so let’s fill our lives with colorful crochet flowers! 

We have prepared a chart for each flower so you have different options: Azalea, Camellia, Peony and Petunia. Make them all or simply choose your favorites! In addition to the charts, we will share video tutorials to help you crochet the flower granny squares.

Crochet mood blanket

Pick one color for each mood or feeling: distracted, creative, centered, happy and relaxed. These are our mood suggestions, but you can create your own feeling selection. After assigning one color to each feeling, you also need a base color, we recommend neutral tones, to join together all your flower granny squares. Each day, choose a flower and make it in the color that represents your mood that day. It’s that simple! If you have doubts about how to combine colored yarns, here are two Katia color wheels we hope will be useful.

Can I use other Katia yarns?

Of course! We encourage you to use your favorite Katia yarn and the colors that best represent your feelings. Just keep in mind the grams and meters per ball. A good alternative would be Katia Capri, for its weight and wide color range available. In this case, since they are 50-gram balls you need 16 balls of the base color and 2 balls per feeling color. You can also choose a thinner or thicker yarn, changing the crochet hook size, to achieve a size smaller or larger blanket than that stated.
