About Martine de Regt Crochetlife

Hi everyone, I’m Martine from Martine de Regt Crochetlife and I am a crochet designer working from the UK. I was born and raised in the Netherlands but have been living in England for the last 8 years.

After my first son was born, 14 years ago, I picked up my first crochet hook and started learning how to crochet through YouTube.

As soon as I had learned the basic stitches I started designing my own things. I love using lots of colours in my designs. Colour makes me happy and combining lots of beautiful colours together gives me a sense of freedom!

I design for my own blog, for magazines and for websites. I love it when I get to design something from scratch without too many rules.

This design for Katia was a joy to work on. The colours are warm and cheerful and the material is soft and cozy.
