New Dawn Poncho Knitting Pattern by @brooklynboyknits- A/W - Beginners - (11111-3)
New Dawn is all about starting over…a new beginning. Early this spring I took the biggest leap of my life by moving overseas to Madrid, Spain. Not knowing what to expect living in a new country at the time, fear and worrying about starting a new life was all I could think about. As I began to settle in Spain, I knew that knitting would settle my fears and worry, and ground me. The New Dawn poncho is my ode to starting a new chapter… A new beginning.
I wanted to design a poncho that is not only timeless but a poncho that will keep knitters engaged as they work through this pattern. Using twisted stitches, I wanted to create a fabric that resembled cables (minus the extra work of using a cable needle). I have included a link on how to make the LT stitch (left-leaning twist, and the RT stitch (right-leaning stitch). I hope you enjoy making this poncho as much as I enjoyed designing it for you!
