Ingrid and Marjan, are a creative mother and daughter duo, they prefer to make accessories and decorations in their favorite colors. This is why they have designed simple and colorful crochet potholders which are great for beginners! You can find more of their creations on their blog Hobbydingen and Instagram & Facebook.
So if you enjoy crocheting, you definitely enjoy making things that are both beautiful and useful. And what could be more useful than this set of pot holders? These small, crocheted items can protect your hands from the heat of pots and pans and add a stylish touch to your kitchen decor.
Before we get started with the pattern, let's talk a little bit about the yarn and hook you'll need for this project. We recommend using a medium-weight cotton yarn, as it's both durable and easy to work with. You'll also need a 4mm crochet hook, as well as a pair of scissors and a yarn needle for weaving in ends.
Stylish Striped Design
For the design, the pot holders feature two horizontal stripes. In the image above, we used Katia Fair Cotton in Turquoise and Jean Blue, but feel free to get creative with your favorite color combination!
