Recommendations and useful information before you get started on your crochet project

  • Follow the crochet chart of your choice.
  • Crochet the potholders holding three strands of Fair Cotton yarn together for a sturdy fabric.
  • The potholders are crocheted in two parts: the potholder itself and the border.
  • Each square on the charts represents 1 single crochet.
  • Each row begins with a ch-1 that does not count as a stitch.
  • Change color in the last yarn over of the single crochet before the new color.
  • Odd rows are on the wrong side of the work; even rows are on the right side.

Crochet stitches you will use

  • ch - chain
  • sc - single crochet
  • sl st - slip stitch
  • st(s) - stitch(es)
