Meet Marianela Galo, a renowned knitwear designer. Ever since her teenage years, knitting has served as her sanctuary, a haven for relaxation, creativity, and mindfulness. In line with her family's tradition, Marianela continually immerses herself in exhilarating projects. This passion has blossomed over the years, shaping her into the professional designer she is today. Most importantly, she finds immense joy and satisfaction in what she does!
The tapestry of Marianela's designs is often painted with strokes of global inspiration or the distinctive qualities that certain materials evoke. One such embodiment is the Atlántico Shawl, knitted from Katia Veganette, a design she crafted exclusively for you.

Video Tutorial: Learn to knit a half moon shawl
Inspired by the vast, cold waters and powerful currents of the Atlantic Ocean, the Atlántico Shawl encapsulates a blend of effortless knitting and a distinct crescent or half-moon design. The three rows of increases woven into the body of the shawl draw your gaze, much like the ocean meeting its shores.
In the Atlántico Shawl video tutorial, Marianela unravels the first section that draws inspiration from the expansive ocean. This is followed by a second section that captures the beauty of the sea shore and the beach. To complete the shawl, she has artistically incorporated vertical waves along the shawl's edge, reminiscent of the gentle lapping of water against the sea shore.
