Crochet granny squares quickly and easily with Katia Instagranny, 100% Merino wool. Fans of the classic granny square will love to make colorful crochet granny squares without changing color with a single ball of Katia Instagranny. Each ball of Instagranny includes enough yarn to crochet 3 identical granny squares.
These crochet squares consist of 5 rounds with each round worked in a single color that changes by itself! Just choose the right hook size to make the stitches for each round in a single color. Between each granny square, there is extra yarn in the second color that can be used later for joining the squares or to crochet a border.

US J-10 / 6 mm crochet hook or size needed to respect gauge

Each granny square has 5 rounds. You will not need to change colors: the yarn does it for you!
Begin crocheting with the outside of the ball.
Between the squares, there is a length of yarn to cut and put aside to use later for assembly.
Beginning ch 3 counts as 1st dc of each round. Place a marker in the 3rd starting ch and move it up as you work.

Round 4. Ch 3, (2 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in corner, ch 1, [(3 dc, ch 1) in next two ch-1 sps, (3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in next corner, ch 1] 3x, (3 dc, ch 1) next two ch-1 sps, sl st in 3rd starting ch, sl st in next 2 sts, sl st in 1st corner.
Round 5. Ch 3, (2 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in corner, ch 1, [(3 dc, ch 1) in next three ch-1 sps, (3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in next corner, ch 1] 3x, (3 dc, ch 1) next three ch-1 sps, sl st in 3rd starting ch, fasten off.
Cut the length of yarn of the second color and put it aside to use later for assembly. Begin your next granny square.
